Founding Fullstack Engineer
Pre-Seed | Strong Comp + Equity After Angel Close (4–8 Weeks)

About us
Stealth, early-stage research-tech venture led by a Stanford researcher founder. We’re building evidence-grade data infrastructure. Public details are intentionally limited; more after screening.

Phase 1 (now, pre-close — no initial contract)
Light engagement to align on architecture and scope—think technical conversations, quick design reviews, and feasibility spikes (2–4 hrs/wk). No coding deliverables required before funding.

Phase 2 (immediately after successful angel close)
Full paid role with strong compensation and a meaningful option grant. You’ll own v1 of a backend that turns unstructured sources into reliable, structured outputs with confidence signals.
-
Config → orchestration: translate intents into reproducible runs.
-
Acquisition: compliant retrieval with health/rate controls and snapshotting.
-
Normalization & extraction: compact representations and field extraction with strict budget/latency guards.
-
Corroboration: multi-source agreement and early-stop heuristics.
-
Storage & serving: clean schema, service layer, exports, and basic observability.
Success (8–12 weeks): an end-to-end demo on a realistic batch with coverage/quality telemetry and efficiency dashboards, delivered via weekly demos.

You might be a fit if you…
-
Have shipped data pipelines end-to-end (crawl/API → process → store → serve)
-
Are fluent in Python + SQL/Postgres + an async framework (Celery/Redis/etc.)
-
Know AWS/GCP basics (containers, object storage, simple IaC)
-
Care about reliability, tests, and observability
-
Bonus: retrieval/search, text normalization, ML/LLM-assisted extraction

Compensation & equity
Strong paid compensation begins immediately after the round closes, with a clear pathway to equity (options on standard vesting). Remote-friendly; Bay Area preferred. Target close: 4–8 weeks.

How to apply

-
GitHub/portfolio or a short write-up of a pipeline you shipped,
-
5–8 sentences on caching + early-stop design for a two-source agreement,
